Guild Wars Exploits? Does it have any?
my freind has been telling me that he has found some Guild Wars Exploits.
I have been playing since beta And i have not seen ONE exploit on this game besides the Double fortitude axe Thing. Are there any in this game? Did they get nerfed? Will you post them? I also checkon google but they always want you to buy them. Ebay also sells GuildWars hacks/Exploits and cheat guildes lol. |

There are none, any 'exploits' people have come up with are local to the pc it's being used on, the exploit never actually makes it onto the server. IE duping, someone may think they have duped an item but the moment they give it to someone else it'll disappear because they haven't actually created a dupe.

Sure, there are exploits in Guild Wars, but they aren't as nefarious as may be implied. Just look at the Gyala Hatchery mission. You can run past the turtles in the beginning and wipe out a majority of the Kurzicks before you even begin the escort. That would qualify as an exploit. Or the Dunes of Despair mission, where you take a Necro/Monk with necrotic transversal and rebirth to warp across the chasm and rebirth everyone on the other side, allowing you to do the bonus without a time limit.
Exploits aren't cheats, they are just using parts of the game in ways they weren't necessarily designed to be used. |

Well, there are of course exploits in GuildWars, but people keep them to themselves. For example there was an exploit where you could get 50.000 exp each time you have beaten your Doppelganger, quite a few folks lost their account due to this.
Then there was an exploit where someone could step out of a party, but still played on the same party, getting 8x the loot he normally would have had. And don't forget the Teamkill Exploit. What i do see as a problem though is the high tolerance towards Exploits in GuildWars. Just like in a few other games, exploiting the game suddenly gets declared as "skill". One such exploit with high acceptance for example was the Item "Trick". While basically everyone knew that one was an exploit, they kept on doing it and exploited it big time. So in short, GW is full of exploits, look no further than all those little "tricks" and shortcuts that people declare as skill while in all honesty, that's just exploiting. |

Exploiting a bug can have your account banned. Remember that.

Regarding the OP, there will always be hidden exploits in the game waiting to be discovered but abusing it and gaining advantage over other players is in fact against the EULA which we read [cough] and agreed to. |

They're not particularly prolific. Most of them are kept within small circles for quite a while, not known to the public until either after being fixed, or immediately before. (The latter leading people to believe the only way to get game companies to address them is to spread them around so they have no choice but to act on them.)
There have been numerous minor skill bugs that led to exploitation during the time period where they were broken, in addition to a few more serious griefable ones, such as the team PK bug. One of the most annoying skill bugs, in my opinion, was the "Conditional endings don't work" one, wherein Vengeance didn't kill the resurrected ally, Battle Rage didn't end when you used a non-attack skill, and most impacting, Thunderclap didn't end when you ran out of energy. The Vengeance one has been broken multiple times, and it often took a while to fix, but the bug where all of them were broken at the same time was taken care of in a fairly short time period. The worst/best PvE one that I can remember is probably the Doppleganger one, actually leading to a number of the first post-release announced mass bans. People were able to kill the Doppleganger again and again for the experience bonuses by quitting during the cutscene and keeping them while being able to do it again... or something like that. I can't for the life of me remember the details, and it's fixed since then. There are still plenty of lesser, mostly unexploitable bugs around that haven't been fixed. They tend to be on a rather small scale, such as a particular monster group not doing anything, or a skill description error, and you can report them all you want, but while I'm sure they're slated to be fixed eventually, they're just not high-priority. The biggest thing in MMORPG's, though, tends to be botting. Bots, done right, can be set to emulate approximate human behaviour so well, particularly where humans can perform the same repetitive tasks easily, that it ranges from very difficult to detect, to impossible. Well, aside from a Turing test, but even that's manageable to a point. |

Was the dance-to-take-off-a-weapon thing an exploit? You know, where it looked like you werent wielding a weapon.
